Technical background

Morgan can provide a range of technical services, supported by almost two decades of experience in web development, and a Masters degree in Information Technology from UTS, Sydney. Morgan has developed websites, including integrating content management systems into custom websites, animated web content for display within a mobile application. His focus is on lean and mobile-first, responsive sites suitable for mobile and desktop devices.

Intersex Day project

Intersex Day project
The Intersex Day pilot project documents human rights actions for Intersex Awareness Day and Intersex Day of Solidarity, and first person accounts of the history of the intersex movement. All content is available in English and Spanish. Morgan has established and implemented the project, which has made possible initially through the support of Open Society Foundations, and later from the Astraea Lesbian Foundation for Justice.

National LGBTI Health Alliance

National LGBTI Health Alliance
The Alliance is a peak health NGO and Morgan was contracted at the Alliance from late 2014. Morgan’s work included the development of multiple responsive websites, including a new corporate site with custom “Knowledge Hub” for resources. The sites were designed for ease of maintenance and accessibility, using WordPress, SASS, Bones, and with custom type and widget development.

Netpage

Employed at Netpage and predecessor companies over a period of 8 years, Morgan’s work included:

  • competitor product and business analysis
  • requirements analysis
  • web development, including company websites, and blog, and also the development of lightweight animated HTML5/CSS3/Javascript content for display within the Netpage iOS and Android app.

A key company customer described Morgan as “quick and dependable“.

Christina Mclean Design

Christina Mclean Design
Morgan designed a website suitable for Christina Mclean’s growing design business, leveraging an existing CMS and improving maintainability, but also making information more colourful and accessible.

OII Australia

OII Australia
Management of the OII Australia website, and oversight of six other international OII sites. This technical work has included improvements to the accessibility of information on the site, streamlining content, simplifying and improving presentation. Behind the scenes, efforts have been made to improve maintainability and ease of publication.
