Morgan Carpenter spoke on intersex health and human rights at the LGBTI Human Rights in the Commonwealth event in Glasgow, Scotland.
Morgan Carpenter was a plenary speaker at Courageous Voices, the LGBTI Mental Health Conference 2014. Morgan spoke for 15 minutes on mental health and cultural issues as part of a wide ranging plenary session with Gávi Ansara and Margaret Maymen on LGBTI issues, religion, culture and also intersex.
The 25th Session of the Human Rights Council in March 2014 witnessed a historic first: the first ever side event exclusively focused on intersex issues, titled Intersex People and Human Rights: Violations, Voices and Visions.
This is a plenary presentation given to the Health in Difference conference, organised by the National LGBTI Health Alliance, and held in Melbourne in April 2013.
Morgan Carpenter wrote and presented this paper at the After ‘Homosexual’ conference in Melbourne on 4 February 2012. The event marked the fortieth anniversary of Dennis Altman’s book Homosexual: Oppression and Liberation.
