On 16-17 September 2015, the UN held an expert meeting on ending human rights violations against intersex persons, with participants representing UN institutions, health and medical institutions, legal, bioethics and human rights institutions. The event was opened by the High Commissioner for Human Rights, Zeid Ra’ad Al Hussein. Morgan Carpenter participated representing OII Australia.
